Are you worried about your skin displaying signs of ageing? Perhaps fine lines and wrinkles, or sun damage, are getting you down? Dermaroller treatment can help your skin look younger. It can also reduce the appearance of large pores, removes acne scars, and help with pigmentation problems.
Dermaroller is the device we use to administer safe and effective micro needling treatment. During the procedure, tiny puncture marks will be applied to targeted areas of your skin in a bid to trick your body into thinking you have been wounded. This action will trigger the body’s natural skin repair unit, increase collagen levels, and speed up cell regeneration. The result will be the creation of fresh skin tissue, to replace the scars, areas of thinning skin, pores, or wrinkles, that were frustrating you every time you looked in a mirror. Dermaroller can help you achieve a rejuvenated, healthier-looking complexion.

Tiny micro-needles will be rolled painlessly across your skin to create tiny pinpricks. These pinpricks will quickly heal, but their creation will have stimulated an increase in new skin cell production, as well as higher levels of elastin and collagen. The visible results will include plumper, younger looking skin. Some studies have cited a 70–80% reduction in scar visibility following dermaroller treatment.
The treated area of skin will be smoother and clearer, as well as younger looking, regardless of whether it is on your face, your neck, or your body.
A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied to the treatment area before the microneedling procedure takes place. The cream needs approximately an hour to numb the skin beforehand. When it’s time for the treatment, the dermaroller device will be rolled over your skin, covering the entire targeted area, with tiny pinpricks.
It’s common for the skin to feel tender and look sunburnt immediately following treatment, but this should subside in a few hours, or days, depending on the size of needles used.
Some medical conditions may mean you are not a suitable candidate for this treatment. Skin infections and disorders, problems with blood clotting, eczema, psoriasis, and pregnancy, may cause us to advise you that microneedling is not your best option. We’ll be able to give you more information relevant to you individually, when you visit us for your consultation.
To help with the immediate side-effects of redness and tenderness, we will apply aloe vera gel to your skin. We will then give you advice on what you should and shouldn’t do for the next 24–48 hours in order to protect your skin and achieve the best possible results.
