Plasma

Skin tightening and resurfacing

Are you feeling frustrated by increasing skin laxity as you age? Is your skin beginning to sag in ways that signal to your advancing years? Our Plasma BT device converts gas to plasma to provide you with new, tighter, lifted, and younger-looking skin tissue. It can improve your overall skin-tone and texture, but perhaps more importantly, it’s an effective way to remove moles and skin tags, without going under the knife.

This is a non-invasive treatment, with limited downtime, but dramatic results. It can lift and tighten your skin in a similar way to a surgical facelift, but with none of the high risks to your health, long recovery period, or scarring. In under an hour, you can enjoy an impressive, natural-looking rejuvenation.

Frequently asked questions

  • How does the Plasma BT device work?

When the device is held close to the skin, it will ionise gases in the air to create an electrical arc. This is done safely, in the hands of an experienced practitioner, to stimulate the process of fibroplasia; or the tightening of skin fibres. It generates heat in deep skin layers to trigger the body’s natural skin repair systems, to trick your body into thinking it has damaged skin cells that need replacing with new, fresh skin tissue.

  • What will it treat?

This treatment combats skin laxity and generates higher levels of collagen to give you tighter, lifted, younger-looking skin. It can clear up acne, remove scarring, moles, and skin tags, as well as resolve pigmentation and skin texture problems. It can rejuvenate and give you a healthier, more youthful complexion.

  • Can anyone have this treatment?

It’s not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Nor may it be suitable for you if you have certain health conditions; such as autoimmune disorders, or diabetes. Your suitability for the treatment will be assessed when you visit us for your initial consultation with us.

  • How long does the treatment take?

The length of the treatment duration depends on the size of the targeted skin area, but typically treatment will take between 15 and 45 minutes.

  • How many sessions will I need?

An individual treatment plan will be created when you visit us for your initial consultation. It will outline how many sessions you’ll need. It’s essential that we know your beauty goals, before we estimate the number of sessions you’ll require to achieve them. You can expect to see results just a few weeks after your first session.

  • Does it hurt?

It can be uncomfortable, which is why local anaesthetic is applied beforehand. You won’t be in any pain. Your skin may feel a bit like sunburn afterwards, but you’ll be given full aftercare advice as to how to best look after it, especially during the peeling, which will take place up to 7 days afterwards.
