Non-Surgical Eye Lift

Have you had enough of people telling you that you look tired? Do you have baggy eyelids or are you constantly trying to conceal dark under-eye shadows? Perhaps you feel that your eye area is ageing your face and that you’ve lost some of your youthful sparkle?

The area around our eyes is often one of the first places to show the signs of ageing. Our upper faces are incredibly expressive and always moving but this can lead to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Also, it’s common for the eyelids to become heavier or to lose volume under the eyes, all of which can make you look older than you feel inside.

If you would love to enhance and freshen your eye area but if you’d prefer not to go under the knife or you’re not a candidate for surgery, then you may want to consider a non-surgical eye lift. We use the cutting-edge Plasma BT - which is only approved for use by surgeons and Nurses - to carry out this procedure. This innovative treatment reduces excess skin almost instantly without cutting, bruising and with minimal downtime. It is also virtually pain free.

  • How does a non-surgical eye lift work?

In the past, an eye lift – or ‘blepharoplasty’ - meant surgery, anaesthesia, surgical resection, stitches and post-op recovery in hospital. While other non-surgical treatments such as Botox® injections can be very effective at lifting the eye area, there has been a need for a treatment somewhere between the two. The non-surgical eye lift using the Plasma BT machine fills this gap.

Plasma BT uses innovative plasma technology, ionising gases in the air between its tip and your skin to create a small electrical arc that can heat up targeted cells without spreading unwanted heat to the surrounding area. Using the Plasma BT machine, we are able to stimulate the instant contraction and tightening of your skin fibres to lift excess skin on or around your upper and lower eyelids.

  • What should I expect from the treatment?

You will need to come in an hour before your procedure so that we can cleanse your skin and apply a topical numbing cream on and around your eyelid. You should try to avoid wearing make-up to your appointment.

Plasma BT is a wireless handheld device that delivers small spots of heat to targeted areas of your eyelid. The device itself doesn’t touch your skin during the treatment. We gradually work across the areas of loose skin and fine lines and wrinkles that we want to target. In most cases, a small ‘crust’ immediately appears showing the area that we have covered. Although you can wipe the crusts off after the treatment, we recommend that you leave them for five to seven days to flake off naturally.

Most people find this treatment comfortable and see a noticeable result after the first treatment but you may need several treatments for the best outcome.

  • Is a non-surgical eye lift with Plasma BT safe?

A non-surgical eye lift with the Plasma BT machine is a very low risk procedure, especially when compared to a surgical blepharoplasty. It is only licensed for use by surgeons to ensure that you are in a skilled and safe pair of hands. You may experience some swelling and itching around the treatment area that typically takes five to seven days to resolve. In rare cases, hyperpigmentation can occur.

  • What do I need to do after my treatment?

A non-surgical eye lift requires little to no downtime. You may experience some mild swelling and discomfort in the treated area immediately after your treatment, which should resolve within five to seven days. You may also find that some mild scabbing forms over the treated area. These should heal within five to seven days, and can be covered with liquid foundation or mineral make-up.

  • Is a non-surgical eye lift right for me?

We recommend that you come into the Cotswold Face and Body Clinic for a free one-to-one consultation so that you can ask questions and get a clear understanding of how we use the Plasma BT machine to achieve a non-surgical eye lift.
